Local Christian school meets national standards for academic excellence
Clermont, FL 5/23/2018 – Principal Dr. Mercy Nyman announced today that The Key to Learning earned accreditation from the Florida League of Christian Schools, an accreditation division of League of Christian Schools.
“This is a monumental achievement not only for The Key to Learning to be state and nationally accredited, but also for the community of Clermont, Florida and Christian education,” stated League of Christian School’s Executive Director, Michael Burroughs. “We are honored to recognize such a great school and know that students and parents will value this recognition.”
ILCS and FLOCS provide nationally-recognized accreditation for the purpose of continuous school improvement focused on increasing student performance. The Key to Learning conducted a rigorous process of self-examination of the entire school and prepared a self-evaluation report. All program materials from all courses offered, as well as material validating governance, facilities, student services, safety and more, were sent for review to outside specialists chosen by ILCS. A team of nationally trained evaluators then traveled to the school and conducted an onsite review that included financial review, student services and review of all procedures. Based on this entire process and the teams’ report to the Accrediting Commission, The Key to Learning was granted accreditation.
